It's beyond disgraceful how Ben has been treated. A man (like many others - including women) who sign on the dotted line IOT protect our Country and once faced with conflict, he's hung out to dry! As a Veteran myself, I find it appalling and sadly, it's becoming more and more common. I have had the privilege of meeting Ben at our Australian War Memorial in 2015. He is a very friendly, polite and down-to-earth young man. We have not been in his shoes serving in an area surrounded by snipers and live fire, so how can anyone (especially the hierarchy) question his actions.

As a mother grandmother aunty and Aboriginal Elder we don't need racism in Australia and I am also a survivor of 3rd stolen generation so to see this breaks my heart and to see how elders women were harassed and beaten for no reason was so disrespectful and Australian Government should be so embarrassed and the police need to be held accountable not just with words but by action removed from the force and jailed or fined😡😡
