The Issue

Millions of us log into Facebook and Instagram every day to connect with friends, family, and communities. These platforms hold our memories, our milestones, our lifetimes of connections. Yet when something goes wrong—an account hacked, suspended, or wrongly flagged there is no human to turn to. Instead, users face automated responses, AI bots, and endless forms that cannot understand urgency, nuance, or emotion.

A woman gets reported for terrorism but only posts family videos of her cat and children yet Instagram immediately hits them with a Suspension. The option for an appeal is present but it is completely useless due to the fact that no body is actually reviewing the Appeal. Its just a repeat of the same system that wrongly reported her in the first place. Millions of people have reported thier appeals useless and accounts erased for good, this is wrong. We deserve real life support

People have lost years of photos, messages, and friendships because AI made mistakes. They have been locked out of their lives, powerless, frustrated, and ignored. This isn’t just inconvenience it’s erasure of personal history.

Other platforms, even small funded dating apps like Hinge and Bumble, or even the IRS, manage to provide real human support. If they can, why can’t Facebook and Instagram? Users deserve empathy, accountability, and someone to actually listen.

We are not data points. We are human beings whose lives are intertwined with these platforms. We demand that Facebook and Instagram implement real, accessible human customer service. AI can help, but it cannot replace compassion or responsibility and common sense. There will always be irrepreble consequences and room for error with artificial intelligence.

Sign this petition to tell Meta leadership: We are more than algorithms & data . We deserve real people who can help when our digital lives are at stake.
