Entertainment & Media refers to the industries producing and distributing content such as films, television, music, news, and digital media. These sectors encompass creation, broadcasting, streaming, and publishing that shape public culture and information access. Their scope includes global companies, independent creators, and platforms reaching billions of consumers daily.
AI-generated content
Entertainment & Media matter due to their influence on public opinion, cultural norms, and information flow in a digital age. Current relevance stems from debates over content regulation, diversity representation, and platform algorithms amid technological shifts like AI-generated media. Affected parties include creators, audiences, advertisers, and regulators navigating issues of censorship, misinformation, and economic viability.

People take action on Entertainment & Media through online petitions addressing content policies, artist rights, and industry practices. Collective efforts involve sharing campaigns on social media, engaging communities in forums, and seeking responses from studios, streamers, and broadcasters. Public advocacy also includes media coverage and organized events to highlight concerns.
The AI being used to estimate the ages of players has proven time and time again how inaccurate it is. I’m in college, along with all of my friends, and I’m one of the only people in our group who has verified their age through ID (mainly out of my own naivety, I wish I had not given my ID to this god-awful corporation). I am correctly marked as 21+, but my friends, who are the same age as me, keep in mind, did the age check themselves when we went out together one day and were all incorrectly marked, with some being classified as anywhere from 12 down to 9 years old. We are all above twenty years of age.
This is incredibly concerning to me and only highlights how completely incompetent both Persona and Roblox are. If people in their twenties can be incorrectly marked as children, who’s to say predators can’t be incorrectly marked as well? Roblox is putting its players in danger and, in the process, killing its player base. And the fact that other people need to give their PERSONAL information out to correct this mistake is insane to me. I demand a complete overhaul of this system and the removal of AI from age verification entirely. We do not need adults being misclassified as children, or vice versa.
This new policy feels like a waking nightmare. I was slated to release my roleplay game in 2026, a passion project I've worked on for five years.
I cannot overstate the amount of time, energy, mental and emotional fortitude I have sunk into this dream.
My dream was to create a tightly-moderated D&D-inspired roleplay space where I could essentially DM for all ages and provide a meaningful and semi-educational social experience for mixed demographics.
Every aspect of this dream dies with this update. Besides the obvious that any meaningful roleplay community will vanish if age groups are segregated, moderation is impossible if I cannot tell what anyone even two years younger than me is saying. Taking on a DM/GM role is absolutely out of the question.
This entire concept was something that could only be achieved on Roblox. I thought that I was so lucky as a broke dev to be creating for an engine that accounted for technology, server space, and even marketing to an extent, and above all else so accessible to the demographics I felt would benefit from my game the most.
New World has always been the one game that ticked every box in a game for me. The environment, the gameplay, the movement, the esthetics, the music, everything is so damn wonderful.
New world launched when I was going through a deep and intense personal period of loss and both the game and the friends I made throughout the New World community helped distract and eventually pick myself back up through the relationships this game fostered.
Please save New World 💗
“New World isn’t just a game—it’s a world that’s brought people together. I’ve spent over 4,000 hours exploring Aeternum, making friends who’ve become like family. This game has built communities that thrive on teamwork, creativity, and shared experiences. There’s truly nothing else like it—the combat system is unmatched, the visuals are stunning, and there’s something for everyone, whether it’s PvP battles, boss fights, crafting, or gathering.
Right now, players’ hearts are broken. We’re not just losing a game; we’re losing the world where our friendships were built and memories were made. Please reconsider sunsetting New World—this community and everything it stands for deserves to live on.”
