Roden has a huge field, so people should be allowed to use it however they'd like.  This means that people should be allowed to bring baseball and cricket bats to school.  The usual excuse is that "once a kid got hit in the eye so we all have to pay for his carelessness."  However, I am going to explain why this is bad reasoning.

In the February 2022 Roden School Council Zoom® meeting, it was mentioned that Roden would have the Blue Jays™ "Kids at Bat" program.  Apparently, this was to "build community" and "encourage friendship" and "teamwork."  The program allows for kids to use baseball bats in the field around other kids.

We, the athletically minded students of Roden, see this as unfair.  How can kids be allowed to have bats if they're "being part of a team" but if they're just developing their hobbies their bats get confiscated?

As you can see, Ms. Pollock and Mr. V. Lam have a huge double standard which needs to be addressed.

We demand that they reverse this rule or else we will not celebrate Pride Month.
