For many years, Kurdish people in Iran have faced serious cruelty, discrimination, and oppression under the Iranian Islamic Regime. Many Kurdish areas are poor and do not receive enough support, jobs, education healthcare, or public services. Kurdish people are often treated unfairly because of their identity, language, culture, and political opinions.

Many Kurdish activists, students, journalists, teachers, and ordinary people have been arrested for speaking about Kurdish rights. Some have been held without a fair trial, tortured in prison, given long prison sentences, or executed. Families are sometimes not told where their loved ones are being held, and some prisoners are denied proper legal help or medical treatment.

Peaceful protests in Kurdish areas are often met with violence. People can be arrested for attending demonstrations, sharing information online, supporting Kurdish rights, or criticising the Iranian Islamic Regime. Even young people can be accused of being against the government simply because they speak about their rights, freedom, equality, and human rights.

I am a Kurdish person who escaped from Iran and found safety in the UK. I cannot stay silent while Kurdish people continue to live in fear. I have seen and experienced how Kurdish people are treated. I want to use my voice to speak for people who cannot speak freely because they fear arrest, torture, imprisonment, or execution, including public executions.

The situation has become even worse because of the recent conflict and growing violence. More Kurdish young people are being targeted, arrested, and accused of political activity. Families are living in fear, and many people do not know whether their relatives are safe.

This is not only a political issue. It is a serious human rights crisis. No one should be arrested, tortured, imprisoned, or killed because of their ethnicity, language, culture, or peaceful opinion.

I am asking the UK Government and Parliament to:

• Publicly condemn the oppression, arrests, torture, and executions of Kurdish people in Iran.
• Put strong diplomatic pressure on the Iranian Islamic Regime to stop targeting Kurdish civilians.
• Call for the release of people detained only for peaceful speaking about Kurdish rights.
• Demand fair trials, access to lawyers, medical care, and protection from torture for all prisoners.
• Support independent investigations into serious human rights abuses and hold those responsible accountable.

The UK must stand for justice, freedom, human rights, and peace. Silence allows the suffering to continue.
