People in Washington state who use marijuana are being directly punished. Workers who use their right to consume marijuana off duty, and at home are losing their jobs or are nearly unable to find and obtain a job. Due to employers/ companies scrapping anyone who has marijuana in their system even though it’s legal and doesn’t affect the consumer as long as it stays in the body. Also tobacco and/ or alcohol can kill when used excessively plus alcoholics can die from trying to quit unlike marijuana. The bottom line is marijuana is just like alcohol and tobacco in the sense that its LEGAL which is why Washington State workers shouldn’t be penalized or denied employment for exercising their right off duty in the privacy of their home just like alcohol.
