The pink late slips at Walnut Grove Secondary School are punitive and take more time than necessary when we are already late for class. Some teachers send us to get a late slip even if we are a minute late. We are forced to wait in line for an extra 10 or 15 minutes  to get a pink slip and sign a sheet of paper then we have to wait in another line to get a time stamp on the pink slip. This system is not only time consuming, but punitive and it is taking more class time away from students. Additionally, some of us are dependant on parents and guardians for rides or we take public transit. It is unfair to punish us and make us even later to classes.

We would like to see and end to the pink slip system and are entitled to deal with the teachers on our own and have conversations with them about their expectations.
