Support Our Friends Farm Tallarook to remove 'inaudible' from event planning permit

Tallarook's beloved community events and tourist accommodation venue is under threat and we need all the friends we have to help save it. Our Friends Farm (previously Bruzzy Park), home to Boogie and Evie festivals, as well as many weddings, functions, family events and much more, has been the target of vexatious complaints by a group of residents in the area.

An application was lodged 14 months ago to update the Mitchell Shire Council permit, to reflect the festival use that has been in operation for the past 15 years (prior to this, the council did not require an amendment to the permit, as previously, no complaints were submitted.) This application was approved by the Mitchell Shire Council and subsequently an appeal was lodged with VCAT (Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal) by the complainants.

The VCAT hearing was first adjourned by the complainants and significantly delayed due to covid, the final hearing is now scheduled for Monday 7th December 2020 and is expected to run for a five day period. We have been encouraged to provide evidence to VCAT, of the strength of the community support that is behind this one of a kind, historic venue, so we can open the gates once again and welcome you all back to boogie in the sunshine.

We are no longer able to operate the events successfully without the permit amendments. So we are calling out to all our friends and family to show your support by signing this petition, every name will count.

Now more than ever, we need to support music, art and cultural events and venues that are providing opportunities for employment, tourism and economic growth in regional communities. Your support will enable us to keep these historic community events operating in Tallarook, delivering fun for the whole family.

THIS IS NOT A GOFUNDME

We have just noticed that this platform is asking for donations after signing. We do not want our supporters to spend money to share the petition. The money doesn't come to us so spare your penny's for when we can open and we'll see you at the bar.
