Dear Mr. Burns and office,

Since COVID-19 has forced our school to enact extra safety measures to keep our school risk free, there is one protocol that doesn't make sense in this scenario. The fact that students have to wait outside the doors for staggered entry times is not applicable and doesn't help much towards our school. Coming into the winter months the weather has not been showing in our favor outside. Your solution to this problem is to arrive at the school closer to the entry time but there are plenty of students who have no choice but to arrive early enough that we face the risk of frostbite and cold. What I am proposing and I know hundreds of students agree with me, is that we enter the school when we arrive and head straight to our classes instead of loitering the halls. There is no social distancing at this moment when students are waiting outside, for students huddle up for warmth and stay at the doors and most don't have their mask on. Then when we are let in at our entry time there is NO social distancing whatsoever. Students claw to be first inside especially during winter months and the crowds at the door are immense. I am not making this petition for personal comfort, but for the safety of our students. I hope you take into account the issue here, and make a change.
