Following the Brisbane Lions historic AFL premiership over the weekend, its first in 21 years, Brisbane Lions CEO Greg Swann has supported a new AFL / cricket stadium being built at Victoria Park, to cater for an expected boom in memberships and seating at future home games.

The Brisbane Lions sold out 10 games this year at its current home ground, the Gabba which is fast approaching its use by date and is a site which is widely acknowledged as being too small to accommodate the construction of a tier 1 standard and sized stadium.
