Dear Supporters, 

For the past three years we have worked hard on raising awareness of the inhumane horse drawn carriages in Victoria, B.C. and lobbying local government to phase out and ban this industry. 

Today we are pleased to announce that through our hard work and with the support of a new city council, a motion will be put forward this week to phase out and ban the horse carriages from our city streets. 

There is still a great deal of work to do to get make sure the motion passes and that future votes on the issue pass, but we will keep fighting to get the horses off the streets.  

If you can, please take a minute to write Victoria mayor and council and let them know that you support the motion to phase out and the ban the horse carriages.  You can contact them at councillors@victoria.ca
