During this pandemic we understand that Varsity College as well as its students have been put through an immense amount of pressure regarding the completion of this academic year. However, concerning the recent document released by Varsity College detailing the information that Bachelor of Accounting students will be required to write exams at campus - students feel their voices aren't being heard. 

Due to the rapid increase in the corona virus, students are concerned not only for their safety, but the safety of their family members. In addition many students have underlying conditions such as asthma which make them more susceptible to contracting the virus. 

The students understand the need to protect the integrity of the exams and overall degree, and take great pride in submitting ones own work. And as other SAICA accredited degrees at universities such as UKZN, UCT and UP are completing the exams at home, there is no reason VC cannot do the same.

By implementing a new policy one week prior to exams - students are placed under unnecessary stress.
