Single-use vapes are damaging our environment. Littering our streets; rivers, canals, parks, blocking school toilets and the countryside, and causing fires in homes and litter bins from exploding batteries.

The local Government Association says 1.3 million vapes are thrown away each week in the UK. 

Clean-Up Australia says e-cigarettes and vapes “appear to be even more damaging to the environment than the cigarette butts” They present a triple threat to the environment from the plastic waste, the electronic waste and hazardous waste. In time this will pollute even our deepest oceans. The damage to sea life from ingesting tiny beads of plastic is affecting us all as we eat fish and seafood.

I know that many parents are reluctant to talk to their children about drugs, fearing it might make them try them.  They want children, to keep their innocence as long as possible. Sadly, Big-tobacco has no such concerns, as they are using our children as “Nicotine Mules” just as the drug barons are using children as “Drug Mules”.
