The Passion Translation has been part of this journey for many, offering a fresh perspective on biblical texts and enhancing personal devotion. Removing it from YouVersion would unjustly limit the diversity of opportunities for spiritual enrichment available to the global Christian community.

We are calling on YouVersion to keep The Passion Translation (TPT) available on the Bible App.

The Passion Translation has become deeply meaningful to Christians around the world. For many people, it has brought a fresh, passionate and deeply personal perspective to Scripture and has helped them reconnect with God’s Word.

We recognise that serious questions and allegations have recently been raised concerning The Passion Translation and the work and claims of Brian Simmons. These matters deserve proper examination and honest discussion.

But allegations are not the same as proven wrongdoing.

We believe YouVersion should allow its users to make their own informed decisions rather than removing TPT altogether.

One of the great strengths of YouVersion is that it provides access to many different Bible translations. We can read them alongside one another, compare them with other translations and examine the evidence for ourselves.

OUR REQUEST TO YOUVERSION

PLEASE KEEP THE PASSION TRANSLATION AVAILABLE.

If YouVersion has concerns about TPT, we ask that those concerns are investigated carefully and transparently, and that users are given appropriate information.

But please do not remove TPT and make that decision on behalf of millions of Bible readers.

Give us the choice.

We believe Christians are capable of reading different translations, comparing them and reaching their own conclusions.

I am signing this petition because I want The Passion Translation to remain available on YouVersion.

If YouVersion removes TPT, I will delete the YouVersion Bible App from my devices.

I will also encourage other TPT readers who feel the same way to consider doing likewise.

This is not about demanding that everyone accepts The Passion Translation.

It is about freedom of choice.

It is about allowing Christians to read Scripture in the translation that helps them engage with God’s Word.

It is about not removing a Bible translation simply because controversy has arisen around it.
