As a frequent visitor to Walt Disney World for the past 50 years, the recent changes have severely undermined the childhood nostalgia and magic I associate with the theme park. I stand here today, an annual passholder, inflamed with indignation over the recent changes at WDW. Most egregious among these is the removal of the fast passes and the introduction of charges for what was once a free perk. The Disney I fondly remember promised an enchanting time for families, not an experience overshadowed by unwarranted fees.

The additional charges for lightning lane passes are a bitter pill to swallow. Change is inevitable and often for the better, but these changes feel like a slap in the face. The question that presents itself is, why should we, the loyal customers, be penalized? With the increasing prices of commodities, this extra financial burden is untenable and uninviting.

Strategy and tradition - these are the foundations that WDW was built upon. Implementing changes such as these, removing the perks, and making political stands a part of the Disney experience does not coincide with the company's original vision.

The Disney we knew and loved cared about the happiness and satisfaction of its customers. We urge the Walt Disney World Company to revert the changes and bring back the free fast passes, thus ensuring a magical and inclusive experience for all guests.
