Urge the United Nations to Intervene in Bangladesh to Protect Persecuted Hindus

The Issue

As the chairman of a non-profit organization advocating for human rights, minority rights, and religious rights, my concern and fear for the persecuted Hindus in Bangladesh have never been deeper. Since 1971, Hindus in the country have been under constant threat, a fact that painfully affirms the need for urgent intervention. Recently, an uprising following the arrest of a revered Hindu leader, Chinmay Das, led to violence and chaos, claiming the life of a lawyer - a development many believe was part of a strategically designed turnout.

Referring to the prevalent conditions, they are, inarguably, terrifying. Hindus are unable to leave their homes, and professionals find it impossible to continue their work, largely due to fears wrought by radical Muslim fundamentalists who have declared a riot. The result is an escalating human rights crisis that cannot be ignored.

The United Nations has a mandate to safeguard the rights and freedoms of every citizen of the world. Therefore, we are calling for them to intervene in this dire situation. Bangladesh's persecuted Hindu population urgently needs the global community to take notice and to act – to ensure their safety, to preserve their rights, and to uphold justice.

We urge you to sign this petition, to call on the United Nations to take swift and decisive action, to engage with Bangladeshi authorities and put an end to this escalating crisis. Your signature can make a meaningful difference to the persecuted Hindu minority in Bangladesh.
