Urge the Government to Remove the Faridabad - Gurgaon Toll for Smoother Traffic Flow

The Issue

I'm a regular commuter, making my daily journey from Faridabad to Gurgaon. Like me, thousands of people use this route and are significantly affected by the existence of the toll booth. Spending at least 20 minutes just to cross this toll daily, wastes precious hours of work productivity, adding to stress and economic inefficiencies.

Every morning and evening, during peak hours, the stretch of road leading to the Faridabad-Gurgaon toll is plagued by traffic jams that often extend up to 3 kilometers. These bottlenecks cause significant delays, turning what should be a routine commute into a prolonged ordeal. The time wasted in these traffic jams translates to a substantial loss in man hours, which ultimately affects overall productivity. For businesses and individuals alike, these delays mean lost opportunities, missed meetings, and a general reduction in economic efficiency.

Moreover, the congestion at the toll is not just an inconvenience; it is a safety hazard. The frequent traffic jams have led to numerous accidents and altercations among frustrated commuters. These incidents create a sense of unrest and insecurity, making the journey not only time-consuming but also dangerous. The constant start-stop nature of the traffic also contributes to increased vehicular wear and tear, adding to the financial burden on commuters.

The persistent issue of traffic congestion due to the toll booth reduces productivity in our economy. It's time to address this problem effectively. We need the direct attention and action of the Traffic Police Department, the Transport Minister of India and the Government of Haryana to alleviate the concerns of the residents and regular road users.

Health concerns are another critical issue arising from the prolonged traffic jams at the toll. Commuters are forced to inhale vehicular fumes for extended periods, which poses serious health risks. Exposure to high levels of pollutants can lead to respiratory problems, cardiovascular diseases, and other chronic health conditions. The health implications are far-reaching, affecting not just the individuals stuck in traffic but also contributing to the overall public health burden.

We, the people regularly using and suffering from the fallout of the Faridabad-Gurgaon toll are asking all relevant governing bodies to intervene and eliminate this toll booth to ensure smoother traffic, fewer accidents and increased productivity. We believe that by doing so, we can greatly improve commuting hours, safety and overall quality of life.

Sign the petition to let these officials know that we demand action to remove the Faridabad - Gurgaon Toll. Let's fight for safer and quicker journeys, for better productivity, better health and a more robust economy.
