I am a resident of Mango Hill, an area that has been continuously affected by crime. Our local police station in Mango Hill/North Lakes has long been understaffed, leaving our community vulnerable and unsafe. The wellbeing and safety of our community members are at stake, and it's high time we take action.

Our area is part of the Murrumba Downs electorate, under the jurisdiction of Steven Miles MP, who is also the Premier of Queensland. We believe it's his responsibility to ensure that his electorate area is adequately protected.

We need to transition from reactive policing to proactive policing for public safety. This means addressing issues before they escalate into serious crimes - dealing with the broken windows before they lead to more significant problems.

Given the increase in crime rate in our area, it's clear that additional police resources are necessary for maintaining community safety. We urge Steven Miles not just as our Member of Parliament for the area, but as Premier, to allocate more resources towards law enforcement in Mango Hill.
