The issue

As a participant in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), I've experienced firsthand the challenges and frustrations that many of us face daily. It does my head in knowing that despite our unique perspectives and valuable insights, our voices often go unheard in the decision-making processes that directly impact our lives.

The NDIS was designed to provide support and empower individuals with disabilities, but for it to truly thrive and fulfill its potential, it requires the involvement and input of the community it serves. Far too often, policies and decisions are made without adequate consultation with those directly affected—NDIS participants themselves. This top-down approach can lead to policies that do not reflect the real needs and desires of the people relying on the scheme.

Our goal is clear: ensure that politicians and policymakers engage with NDIS participants in meaningful ways before making decisions. This means reaching out to us individually, holding group consultations, and leveraging online platforms to gather diverse input. It's crucial that they genuinely listen to our insights and collaborate with us to find better solutions.

We believe that with true collaborative engagement, policies can be created that not only address existing challenges but also unlock the full potential of the NDIS to support us in living enriched, independent lives.

Join us in advocating for change by signing this petition. Let's stand together to ensure our voices are heard and that our needs drive the future of the NDIS. Your signature can make a difference by pushing for a more inclusive and responsive system. Sign now to help drive meaningful progress for all NDIS participants.
