This petition stems from a deeply personal place of empathy and justice. The recent actions of President Trump towards President Zelensky were distasteful, and I, along with many other citizens globally, saw his behaviour as nothing short of bullying. Standing united against such display is crucial, as silence and inaction are often mistaken for compliance.

Thus, we're urging King Charles to cancel President Trump's state invitation. This action sends a strong message that such behaviour will not be tolerated on international diplomatic platforms. Moreover, the taxpayer's money which would be used for this visit could instead be redirected to provide the much needed aid to the people of Ukraine. They are struggling with the aftermath of Russia's aggression: their homes have been obliterated and their lives, shattered.

According to reports from the Council on Foreign Relations, approximately 1.5 million people in Ukraine have been displaced since 2014. This population desperately requires food, shelter, and a chance to rebuild their lives. Instead of executing State visits that our country does not unanimously support, let's focus on extending our support to those who need it the most.
