I am a lifelong fan of the Power Rangers from the get-go, having followed their adventures since the inception of the Mighty Morphin era. The stories, characters and lessons have been an integral part of my life. However, it has come to my attention that Boom! Studios may not continue with the comic book series beyond this era after eight years.

The Power Rangers franchise has had a significant impact on pop culture since its debut in 1993. It has spawned numerous television series, movies and comic books that have been enjoyed by millions worldwide. The comic books, in particular, have allowed for deeper exploration into the characters and lore of this beloved franchise.

Boom! Studios' continuation of these comics is crucial for fans like me who wish to see more stories from our favorite heroes beyond their initial adventures in Angel Grove. Their work on these comics has been praised for its mature storytelling and respect towards source material (source: Comic Book Resources). My dream is to see Boom and IDW Publishing teaming up for a crossover between Power Rangers and Star Trek in comic book form--probably a crossover with either the original Star Trek series or The Next Generation--with blessings from both Hasbro and the Paramount-owned CBS Studios.

By discontinuing these comics, we risk losing an important medium through which we can continue enjoying new tales from our childhood heroes while introducing them to a new generation.

I urge Boom! Studios to reconsider their decision and continue producing Power Rangers comic books beyond the Mighty Morphin era. Please sign this petition if you share this sentiment and want to see more from our beloved “heroes with attitude.” By doing so, they would not only keep alive a series loved by many but also potentially bring about exciting new crossovers-- including the one with Star Trek--something fans have been dreaming about for years.
