I am reaching out to Tesla and its community with a desire for progress and innovation. Currently, my Tesla vehicle is equipped with Hardware 3 (HW3) for the Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability. However, the newly introduced Hardware 4 (HW4) offers transformative improvements that I believe should be accessible to loyal Tesla drivers like myself.

Tesla’s Hardware 4 is a significant upgrade, featuring enhanced 5MP cameras that provide higher resolution, improved low-light performance, and wider fields of view. These improvements are critical for more accurate and reliable vehicle perception, significantly boosting the FSD's performance in varying driving conditions. The massive leap in computational power is another hallmark of HW4, boasting 3-5 times faster processing speeds for complex tasks. This upgrade not only refines current driving capabilities but also paves the way towards the possibility of unsupervised FSD, something that HW3 might struggle to handle efficiently.

For those of us committed to Tesla's vision and technology, having access to the best hardware is not merely a demand for enhanced performance, but a need for safety and continued innovation. HW4’s advantages aren’t just limited to marginal gains but encompass critical features like red-tinted lenses and additional cameras. The existing HW3 architecture relies heavily on vision which, while revolutionary, does not benefit from these new enhancements that ensure safer navigation and decision-making processes.

Our commitment as Tesla owners is strong, and it is integral that Tesla reciprocates with the necessary updates to maintain trust and satisfaction. The implementation of HW4 across all eligible vehicles ensures that Tesla leads as a pioneer in the auto industry—as it always has. In essence, upgrading HW3 systems to HW4 across the board demonstrates Tesla's commitment to customer care and technological excellence.
