The University of Western Australia (UWA) has issued a proposal to reduce costs by dismantling the discipline of Anthropology and Sociology and cut down positions in the following majors: Political Sciences & International Relations, Geography & Planning, and Archeology. We have until the 27th of July to respond to the proposal, which would take effect starting 2022. 

As students passionate about Anthropology and Sociology, we are deeply concerned with the message sent to social sciences at large, one that devaluates and invalidates their very existence in tertiary education.

Please join us in opposing the proposal made by Amit Chakma, Vice-Chancellor of UWA. Time is running, our signatures matter.
