Extend Java GUI Coursework Submission Date

The Issue

As per current schedules, a major project is due for submission December 11th, 2020. The first section had 8-week time availability, with a lower weigh-in of 10%. However, considering the time frame provided, only three weeks were allocated towards the 2nd section of the coursework, with an increased weighting of 30%. With 2 weeks focused towards examples, it resulted in a shorter time availability to work towards this deadline, considering new techniques had to be applied, i.e JavaFX, and the amount of code required for this new implementation. Taking into consideration the struggles students have faced simply setting up JavaFX, it is evident that to implement these new features, 3 weeks isn't enough. To add, we are also balancing other coursework with similar deadlines and higher workload, resulting in postponing the Java Coursework. Therefore, it would be most useful to extend the deadline, considering the content that needs to be covered, to ensure all students understand the new techniques used and apply them appropriately, providing a greater quality submission.
