Right to Education for Girls in South Sudan

Right to Education for Girls in South Sudan
Why this petition matters
South Sudan has faced much violence and war, with the destruction of schools, infrastructures, hospitals, and families forced out of their homes. Almost three quarters of girls do not even make it to primary school. South Sudan is number one in ten of the toughest places for girls to go to school.
Education for girls in Sudan is not free and/or compulsory, primary education in South Sudan is only for the privileged. I believe that Education is right, not a privilege. Education should be for all regardless of age nationality, race, disability, gender or any sexual identification, you are entitled to a proper Education.
Education helps give aid to the emotional and mental development of the human persona. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life and helps us build opinions and have points of views on things in life.
International human rights law guarantees the right to education to both individuals and economic development and is a key element to achieving lasting peace and sustainable development. It is a big must for every individual has the right to education because it gives us knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something better. Education is the only thing that gives knowledge that’s why everyone has the right to be educated but not everyone is given a chance to attain proper education. If this petition will give a chance to win, then there will be no discrimination and gender inequality. The girls in South Sudan will be given a chance to education. if we lose and fail to grant them basic human rights, the right to have proper education, then they will still keep waiting and hoping for justice to be given, their rights to be fulfilled and hope that they are given what is due to them because they are humans. They are children. We must not be silent, we must fight against discrimination and inequality. Together, we fight for Education for girls in South Sudan.
