United Nations: Make Israel Honor the Ceasefire And End All Aid Restrictions Immediately

United Nations: Make Israel Honor the Ceasefire And End All Aid Restrictions Immediately
The Issue
On October 10, 2025, a long-awaited ceasefire in the Gaza Strip went into effect.
Since then, over 37 Palestinians have been killed by the IDF, and hundreds of thousands more remain in need of critical humanitarian aid.
On Friday, a family of 11 was killed by a tank shell while trying to return to the their destroyed home.
On Saturday, a 10 year old boy died after being shot in the pelvis by Israeli forces.
And Rafah Border Crossing, Gaza's only crossing point with a country other than Israel, remains closed. Less than half of the 600 aid trucks agreed upon in the ceasefire have been allowed to enter.
This is a clear, unambiguous violation of the ceasefire deal.
Point 7: Upon acceptance of this agreement, full aid will be immediately sent into the Gaza Strip. At a minimum, aid quantities will be consistent with what was included in the 19 January 2025 agreement regarding humanitarian aid.
Terms of Phase 1 of the 19 January ceasefire:
• The release of 33 Israeli hostages held by Hamas, including female civilians and soliders, children and civillians over 50.
• The release of 30 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, for each civilian hostage and 50 Palestinan prisoners for each female soldier.
• Sufficient humanitarian aid flow with entry of 600 trucks per day including 50 fuel trucks with 300 trucks for North Gaza and displaced Palestinians begin returning to their homes.
All living Israeli hostages have been released. Yet, Israel continues to allow only half of the required amount of aid.
It is often said, that it takes two to start a war. But it takes two to end one, too.
lf Israel does not honor its end of the deal, peace cannot be achieved.
The cycle of violence must come to an end. We cannot allow this ceasefire to be broken like the countless others before it. We cannot stand by and watch as another chance at peace is destroyed.
We call on the United Nations, United States and all member countries to take action immediately and ensure Israel will:
1. Allow 600 truckloads of humanitarian aid into Gaza daily without any restrictions or interference
2. Open the Rafah Crossing to allow for the safe evacuation of civillians and entry of aid organisations including the Red Cross, Egyptian Red Crescent, Doctors Without Borders, World Food Programme, UNICEF, Anera, and all other NGOs
3. Cease all violence against civillians in the occupied territories immediately
4. Ensure the safety of all aid workers on the ground in Gaza
The world is watching.
