Le problème
Every day in poor countries , men, women and children go to garbage dumps, rummage through the garbage and roam the streets in search of a treasure to resell it at low prices to recycling companies.
And this famous treasure is only "plastic". The same plastic from our packaging waste that we throw in our trash. The same plastic from the products we consume every day.
Plastic packaging is omnipresent in all our consumer products. Even if plastic remains dangerous for our health, our environment, our ecosystem and even for our society, plastic still prevails. One day, I asked a child garbage collector, the price they gave him for a kilo of plastic, he replied 75 F CFA, barely 0.01333 Euro. However, this child decided to make a job of it and drop out of school to help his parents who also work as collectors. Many families who lived on agriculture are forced to do this work because of the harmful effects of global warming. The crops are no longer good, drought and floods are destroying everything and the desert is advancing rapidly. Plastic waste, whether it is recyclable or not, remains a great danger for our world. And also for our society, for the future of children who drop out of school to collect waste.
