Ensure that a key source of animal-to-human transmitted viruses be stopped for good by enforcing a permanent ban on all wild animal meat markets globally. In addition to the human benefit of this action, the ecological benefits of suppressing the trade of many endangered and protected species could potentially be huge. While China has banned live wild animal markets taking place, previous bans have fallen by the wayside after a few years allowing the wild animal meat trade to flourish once more. We need to ensure the trade in wild animals is stopped for good.
