The Issue
INTERNATIONAL PETITION
Mothers and Women of Lebanon (M.W.L.), addressed to the United Nations and the world's leading political decision-makers:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Our Nation is breaking up, its institutional structures are collapsing, its economy is bogged down and disintegrating, its people are impoverished, suffocated, and being left to fend for themselves.
The Republic of Cedar is bending under the weight of corruption and constant upheavals that have immobilized it and blocked its evolution since 1943. It is subject to various and varied foreign pressures on its territory, which take its National Sovereignty hostage, destroy its political and cultural Identity, disintegrate its Independence and leave its "buffer" 10,452 kilometers unleashed to the winds!
In the face of this national disaster and the dramas it is going through, the deep divisions that block our domestic political scene, the state of corruption, widespread poverty and institutional structural decay, all the women and mothers of this country, all regions and religions combined, supported by their families and the societies with which they share their daily lives, have decided to unite against the "premeditated" general indifference, the "laissez faire" of the rulers in place, their inability to provide the necessary solutions to avoid the economic and financial collapse of the country, and to launch, together with all the women of the world who have known and love Lebanon, an urgent CALL FOR HELP.
And this, through an international petition, which they are addressing to the United Nations and to the great decision-makers of the world, so that they intervene directly and firmly, in order to help this country message, to resist against all those who seek to sabotage its national identity and its economic system. They wish that this land of refuge, which has been, since the dawn of time, a place of peace, tolerance, living together of all monotheistic religions, be protected, so that it may continue to exist in accordance with its existential and historical identity, and so that it may benefit, within the framework of the new regional geopolitics in gestation, from a permanent and definitive "NEUTRALITY" status, (according to the Swiss model), while naturally respecting the bilateral, regional and international treaties signed and approved by the Lebanese Republic.

Des Mères et des Femmes du Liban (M.F.L.), à l’adresse de l’Organisation des Nations Unies et des Grands Décideurs Politiques du Monde:
Mesdames et Messieurs,
Notre Nation se disloque, ses structures institutionnelles s’effondrent, son économie s’enlise et se dégarnit, son peuple qui est appauvri, étouffe, et est lâché à lui-même…
La République du Cèdre ploie sous le poids de la corruption et des secousses constantes qui l’immobilisent et bloquent son évolution depuis 1943. Elle subit des pressions étrangères diverses et variées sur son territoire, qui prennent en otage sa Souveraineté Nationale, détruisent son Identité politique et culturelle, désagrègent son Indépendance et laissent ses 10.452 kilomètres “tampons”, lâchés à tous vents !!
Face à ce désastre national et aux drames qu’elle traverse, aux divisions profondes qui bloquent notre scène politique intérieure, à l’état de corruption, de pauvreté généralisée et de délabrement structurel institutionnel, toutes les femmes et les mères de ce pays, toutes régions et religions confondues, soutenues par leurs familles et les sociétés avec lesquelles elles partagent leur quotidien, ont décidé de s’unir contre l’indifférence générale “préméditée”, le “laisser faire” des gouvernants en place, leur incapacité à apporter les solutions nécessaires pour éviter l’effondrement économique et financier du pays, et de lancer, avec toutes les femmes du monde qui ont connu et qui aiment le Liban, un appel “Au Secours”.
Et ce, au travers d’une pétition internationale, qu’elles adressent à l’Organisation des Nations Unies et aux grands décideurs du Globe, pour qu’ils interviennent directement et fermement, afin d’aider ce pays message, à résister contre tous ceux qui cherchent à saborder son identité nationale et son système économique. Elles souhaitent que soit protégée cette terre refuge, qui fut, depuis la nuit des temps, un lieu de paix, de tolérance, de vivre ensemble de toutes les religions monothéistes, pour qu’elle perdure conformément à son identité existentielle et historique, et qu’elle puisse profiter, dans le cadre de la nouvelle géopolitique régionale en gestation, d’un statut de “NEUTRALITE” permanente et définitive, (selon le modèle Suisse), tout en respectant naturellement les traités bilatéraux, régionaux et internationaux signés et approuvés par la République Libanaise.
