This petition is being brought to demand Union Power Coopertaive which solely controls distribution of power in Union County, NC and other states to match the solar credit to National average of unit to unit vs billing consumer 10 cent a unit and giving credit for power generated from their solar unit at 4.5 cent and on top of that billing each consumer $38 for base charge. Where as Duke Energy, who supplies electricity to Mecklenburg county has base charge of $18 and matches solar credit by unit for each unit. 

When union power already charging higher base charge to generate added expenses in their own term, why rob the solar consumers on top of it and not allow them to go green and take advantage of federal policies available. 

With this petition demanding Union power Cooperative to match the solar program in union county to that of Mecklenburg county or provide credit for unit generated to the same as billed for unit from Grid.
