Stop the INJUSTICE of sexual abuse survivors, abusers need consecutive sentences!

Stop the INJUSTICE of sexual abuse survivors, abusers need consecutive sentences!
The Issue
Should paedophiles be sentenced concurrently? When a paedophile commits a sexual offense against more than one victim, does this mean they should serve that sentence jointly and severally? Is it better for them to serve consecutive sentences, meaning they serve their sentences individually? Justice needs to be served to survivors of violent crimes. Rather than having them run alongside each other, sexual offenders should serve their sentences for each victim separately. Having endured a lifetime of trauma as a result of sexual abuse, why should offenders be given a lesser sentence?
If a sex offender was sentenced to two concurrent sentences consisting of two sentences of six years and three months each twice, he would only serve six years and three months once, not 12 years and six months. What kind of justice is this for those who have suffered such horrific abuse?
When the defendant has been found guilty beyond reasonable doubt and has acted within Actus Reus and Mens Rea and committed the offence the sentence they receive should not be lenient and we see and hear of too much of this when these particular offenders have been sentenced, more thought should go into the victims when bringing justice, it should be fair, to the victim. The concurrent serving of one sentence alongside another when there are separate victims is an unjust and inequitable practice for the victims who have suffered trauma from the perpetrator during, before, and after the crime.
If more than one child has been victim to such a horrendous crimes, the defendant would only serve one sentence for the two victims! Is that really fair? Is this the standard to which our courts apply the law to? It is not acceptable, it is unjust and unfair.
Let's help the survivors of abuse by abolishing this sentencing rule! The justice system should be fair and offenders must serve their sentences according to their victims!
Lets protect our children, This is our society!
