Prevent the Sale of single use BBQs that start wildfires and damage the landscape

Disposable single-use BBQs encourage people into the countryside during good weather but recent coverage of the large scale moorland fires this year illustrates how fragile our countryside is. Using BBQ in hot, dry weather is simply not worth the risk to nature, property or life.

Not only can these disposable BBQs lead to the outbreak of large fires, they leave burn marks when used on grassy land which takes the rest of the season to repair. When buried in sand they can burn children/adults/dogs who walk across them unaware. As well as that they are not environmentally friendly as are thrown after one use and often where people have had a disposable BBQ there is a substantial amount of rubbish that has been left behind.
