The controversial new Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is a violation of our human rights. Here in Britain, we value democracy and our freedom to speech is an integral part of that-but this new bill may silence that. This bill causes the police to crack down on peaceful protests in the UK (such as the recent anti-monarchy protests at King Charles' coronation), and imprison protesters for up to 10 years if they see fit. This is unacceptable, immoral and unlawful. Things must change. We must not let this bill stay. We must not let them criminalise peaceful protests. We must not be silenced.

Just over 2 years ago, MPS voted 359-263 in favour of this bill being enacted in law. That is a total  majority of 96 MPS. Our government is trying to silence us, and stop us from speaking out about the causes that matter the most to us in the future. We cannot let them do so. Peaceful protesters should not be sentenced to up to ten years of jail time, purely for standing up for what they believe in. This country is becoming increasingly more authoritarian, and we need to stop it from doing so before it is too late. 

This bill means that, if oppressed minorities intend to protest for their rights, such as to ban conversion therapy in the UK, they can and will be shut down and not allowed to speak out. This is what they want. Sign this petition to stop your voice from being silenced today.
