During this Covid-19 crisis, it was a helpful and appreciated move from the Government to stop the Stamp Duty tax which helped some people to sell their houses and relocate. Probably the only economic sector nation-wide that kept growing was the housing sector which helped a lot of middle class people to upgrade or downgrade their homes and helped many people in housing construction, new homes building and estate agents to keep their jobs. It is feared that this sector may face a lot of challenges or even collapse if the government lift the stamp duty holiday suddenly in the middle of this expanding third and more aggressive wave of Covid-19 and prior to completion of the vaccination program.
