Yemen is currently facing a world largest humanitarian crisis, as a result of on going war since 2015. In 2015 Saudi Arabia created an international coalition with the US, UK and France to reinstate Hadi using military force, political and economic sanctions. 

The coalition has air striked Yemeni medical centres, water wells, drilling rigs and even close essential bank leaving Yemen’s population struggling to survive. 

Yemeni people lack access to water, food, health care and are in need of humanitarian aid. Tens of thousands people have been killed and displaced since the war started in 2015. 

A cholera epidemic since 2017 and now the Covid 19 pandemic has only worsened the situation. Only half of Yemen’s health facilities are functioning, and they lack PPE on top of medical equipment to support famine, cholera and Corona virus patients. 

Over 24 million (80% of population) need urgent humanitarian aid and protection including food, clean water and health care. The country is battling a co epidemic famine and war, all of which have only been severely exacerbated by the covid 19 pandemic.
