It is archaic that women titles on applications and records for everything from the dentist to the bank are still defined by their marital status.

We need the UK Government to lead the change and replace - Miss, Mrs, Ms - with a single female gender option - Ms. 

In line with Mr for men.

This is not Victorian times. A woman no longer needs a man to open a bank account. So why is this practice still in place - it serves no purpose in today's society other than remind women of past in-equalities.

Please support us and sign our petition so all women no longer need to declare if they are single, married or divorced, and can, in an equal society, just denote their gender. 

If we can change the policy with the UK Government - then the private sector will follow suit and we can make this change across the whole of the UK!
