The student union is meant to cater to the students of UEA. However, the cancellation of the Blue Bar Pub Quiz every Sunday, in order that the Blue Bar can be used as an overflow for gigs, is not in students' interests.The majority of the people who attend these gigs are not UEA students, and therefore it is only being used to gain profit rather than enhance student satisfaction. UEA SU still have the use of other venues, such as The Waterfront and the LCR, which can be used separately to the Blue Bar. Even if the Blue Bar Quiz was moved to another location, but still run consistently, the majority of students would be totally happy. This quiz also has charity special events, for example for Movember when they raised over £500. This will be a significant loss to the student body. It will become an occasional event instead of weakly.
