This petition is to express the extreme disappointment of the Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed fans who are “Last Generation” console owners who will be deprived of playing Assassin’s Creed Unity unless they buy a Next Generation console at great expense.

Ubisoft has alienated its Assassin's Creed fans for making Assassin's Creed Unity only for Next Generation Consoles?  Fans of AC using all gaming consoles have been anxiously awaiting AC Unity.  Only to be told that only Next Gen console users will be able to play it.

On March 4, 2014 Extreme Tech shared that PS4 has only sold 6 million consoles and Xbox One has only sold around 4 million consoles.  On May 17, 2014 Gaming Blend reported that there are still approximately 80 million Xbox 360 owners and approximately the same number of PS3 owners and more of both platforms are still being purchased.

We understand that game development has to move forward and take advantage of new technology but, is Ubisoft really thinking about the AC fans or only the fans who can afford a Next Gen console?  Assassin’s Creed Comet for Xbox 360 and PS3 then seems like a very dismal consolation prize.  Still only Next Generation console owners can enjoy both. 

We think Ubisoft's alienation of the much larger portion of its AC fan base is more than a little disappointing.
