Prince of Persia

Prince of Persia
The Issue
Materialism must be balanced by spiritualism.
Prince of Persia of 2008 was a masterpiece, neglected, underrated and sent into oblivion by more profitable mid-tier stories which sincerely don't make me feel for characters any more. I don't feel the struggle, passion and hardships of characters. They lose their depth. I grew on profound characters and stories, some Ubisoft games contributed to that.
However, a masterpiece that despite its new approach in gaming, brought mysticism, joy and dreaming as well as sadness and despair was left behind. I felt a lot for characters and music... music did a great job of immersion into the story, truly a great artwork of Stuart Chatwood and Inon Zur.
Just close your eyes and listen to it yourselves. https://youtu.be/DUJXsIcPNtE
The interaction and combat choreography brought new life into ageing Prince concept. The views of horizon-reaching grounds and dark deeps of caverns are just a small fraction of what was amazing and with new technologies can be brought back in a far superior presentation.
Yes, this Prince is not canonical, however he is more connected to our world due to Zoroastrianism, of which I discovered many interesting legends as I was indulging my desire for more of the story. It brings us closer to reality and thus draws parallels with living people and their beliefs which come to life on the set of the fairy tale.
I myself wrote a story of what could have happened next and tied it strongly to Zoroastrianism as a follow up. I did it for myself as story lived, restless in my head for few years, until I decided to finally put it on paper.
I am sure I am not the only one who can give numerous variations of the story continuation. If Ubisoft suffers creative crisis regarding prince or Persia; let those who got deeply inspired, like me, to help you this time. At least with the vision of the story so that Prince lives as a good example of quality gaming, the very reason it became so popular.
Nowadays games substitute bed time stories and they teach... and that is more important than anything for the generations to come. It is easy to capture mind of youngsters by a written story and influence of games is undeniable for their immerse realities, showing the impossible and giving the chance to create own dreams of the worlds that never existed and of those that will never be back.
I feel, it is my duty to do this, as I want children and adolescents to experience the beauty of adventures, the fear of unknown, the overcoming struggle, the power of imagination, the depth of the world. That nothing is black and white and that tomb raiders lose their donkeys to withstand greatest evils sacrificing own lives, with a stubborn undying resistance and determination of a strong personality.
