U.S. Voters PLEDGE: We will vote for only Pro-Palestine Candidates in 2026 Midterms

U.S. Voters PLEDGE: We will vote for only Pro-Palestine Candidates in 2026 Midterms
The Issue
We are Pro-Palestine voters who are participating in 2026 midterm primary elections. Many of us have already declared our intent to vote for only pro-Palestinian candidates for U.S. Congress and Senate. This pledge letter is a collective declaration of our commitment.
We are U.S. citizens in every state and will use our votes to elect more pro-Palestinian congresspeople and senators and remove those who refuse to represent the vast majority of Americans who have repeatedly -- especially over the last two years -- called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, end to military aid to Israel and to Israel’s illegal occupation of Gaza and the West Bank. A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted in late October 2025 showed that nearly 60% of Americans favored Palestinian statehood, while only 33% opposed it.
Our values are plain: Human rights are universal. The first Article of the United Nations Charter guarantees the right of self-governance to all; no nation has the right to rule another through illegal occupation or by blockade. The U.S. should not fund violators of these principles.
We have exerted our First Amendment rights to protest and speak out in public and online. We have called and written our elected officials begging them to stop using our tax dollars to send bombs to Israel and to call for a ceasefire. Both major parties, most western media, and many major institutions have tried to silence us and dismiss our power to determine election outcomes.
We represent the majority of Americans, AND WE VOTE.
WE WILL:
- Investigate voting records and campaign contributions of incumbents running for re-election to the House and Senate.
- Assess candidates who have never been in congress by their platform, statements, actions and campaign contributions, especially from 2023 until now.
OUR PLEDGE:
We will vote only for U.S. Congress and Senate candidates who commit to (or have already if an incumbent):
- Cosponsor and vote for H.R.3565 – Block the Bombs and H.Res.876 – Recognizing the Genocide of the Palestinian People in Gaza
- Vote NO on any offensive weapons or military support for Israel
- Refuse to accept campaign contributions or endorsements from Israel lobby PACs/organizations e.g. AIPAC, DMFI, CUFI, Pro-Israel America PAC and United Democracy Project
- Call for a permanent ceasefire, end to illegal occupation of the West Bank, Right of Return for Palestinians, and full recognition of Palestinians’ rights under international law
BACKGROUND:
- As of January 2026, at least 74,000 Gazans have been killed (with estimates into the hundreds of thousands). Israel does not dispute this. In addition to non-combatant civilians, hundreds of others who were “protected” by the Geneva Conventions were killed: medical personnel, humanitarian aid workers and a record number of journalists among them.
- The rest of Gaza’s population, which exceeded two million before Israel began mass killing primarily women and children civilians, are facing acute food shortages and malnutrition; medical facilities were destroyed and medicines are absent.
- In the first year of the genocide, U.S. lawmakers voted to transfer $24 billion dollars of our tax dollars -- including the usual $3.8 billion allocated annually -- to Israel. Only $20 billion is needed to eradicate food insecurity in the U.S.
- Democratic Party leadership, its presidential nominees, and the overwhelming majority of elected members of the House and Senate have voted for military “aid” to Israel and accepted campaign contributions from lobbies that support the current Netanyahu government. AIPAC alone donated $52 million to 2024 candidates, split between Democrats (59%) and Republicans (39%).
- The Trump administration has acted contrary to core American values and democratic traditions, unilaterally imposing a “peace board” as Gaza’s governing body. He has been selling seats on this board, including to Netanyahu, while excluding Palestinians and allies.
- Thousands of U.S. journalists, academics and other individuals who have raised the issue of genocide, and otherwise painted an accurate picture of events and condition of Palestinians trapped inside Gaza, and protested against our ill-intentioned government policies have been threatened, detained, arrested and fired from their jobs.
- 60% of voters across all parties oppose the United States sending more military aid to Israel, with only 32% saying they support it.
