You may call me what you wish; a liberal, a communist, a socialist, whatever pleases you, it does not matter to me. As a person that owes well over $30,000 to hospitals and doctors for everything from MRI's to a miscarriage, things should be a little be different around here. I'm sure a lot of people have heard of Michael Moore, and many may not like him. HE brings up a very good point in his documentary, Sicko, though. As Americans, even 9/11 rescue heroes cannot get health care and they tried to save hundreds, maybe even thousands of lives. These are the heroes in our country, and the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay get better health care than they do? What's wrong with this picture? Countries like Canada, Cuba (a third world country to us), France, Italy, Mexico, and many other places get health care for FREE mind you, and we can't seem to get that same treatment? Does it not seem like to anyone else that we are getting a little bit ripped off here? How is it that Americans have to go to other countries just to get health care for FREE that we should be getting here. Come on, how many of us actually want to be racked up in hospital bills and pharmacy bills every month? A ton of countries in the world get free health care, why shouldn't we? This is where we, the AMERICANS, the PEOPLE of this country need to take a stand and do something about this. You may not like this, you may not agree. If you do, sign this petition, show the government that we DO have a voice as the PEOPLE of the United States of America, the home of the FREE, the land of the brave.
