Chronic Diseases-Illnesses and Disabilities Support Act

Chronic Diseases-Illnesses and Disabilities Support Act

The Issue

Contrary to popular belief, "disabilities" aren't always displayed "externally". It just amazes me how people who intentionally neglect their health causing themselves to obtain health and medical conditions and diseases can receive government support and aid quicker than those who becomes attacked by dangerous and deadly diseases and medical and health conditions without their intentional negligence nor any fault of their own.

Lupus is one of the chronic diseases most life insurance companies will either deny a person or increase the premium of a person's monthly rates because it is on their "high-risk" insurer list. Chronic diseases and illnesses like lupus is called an "invisible disease" due to its unpredictable flare-ups such as excruciating pain throughout the body, migraines, rheumatoid arthritis, muscle weakness, nerves damage, muscle tissue discomfort and pain, extreme fatigue and exhaustion, body shutdown, loss of appetite, disorientation, passing out and more. Just because flare ups may lay settle for two months doesn't mean when it does flare up it won't make its victim disabled. Imagine someone with lupus or another chronic disease / illness is working on a job for 5 consecutive months w/o incident. However, the 1st day of that 6th month that person becomes greatly ill due to flare ups caused by lupus. Even "if" (and that's very huge IF) that person can take a medical leave of absence. It might take that long or longer to recoup from the flare up. How many employers will "pay" medical leave for that time frame? How many employer will hold that person's position for him/her? Try probably 1 in 100,000 employers. That isn't going to work.

That fact had to be included because chronic diseases and illnesses DOES NOT have a "consistent" pattern, and not everyone who have lupus and/or any other chronic illnesses and diseases will be affected in the same way. Some people with lupus can manage the sun, but some cannot. Some people with lupus can workout daily even while in pain, but some people with lupus cannot. Therefore, when "judges" are the ones who can make the decision to authorize a person to be on disability instead of the person's doctors who has and are doing the examinations, tests, treatments and the alike. It's like me meeting somebody for the very first time, having absolutely no rapport with that person, but looking over documents proving that person is the legal owner of a piece of property. Yet, I deny that person rights to his/her property because the person doesn't "look" like he/she could afford to own that property in spite the person's realtor confirming as well as the person's lawyer that the property is legally his/her. That doesn't make any sense, right? Well, that's what judges are doing when they deny a person disability based upon what they feel instead of what the person's doctors has stated and documented.

Individuals battling chronic diseases and/or illnesses whose doctors and whose medical records clearly shows that person indeed have a chronic diseases and/or illnesses; has disabling / physically limiting health / medical issues should receive no less than $1,200.00 USD minimum monthly seeing that the cost of living has increased by over 35%-45% within the last decade. A $550.00 1 bedroom apartment is now $900.00 or more monthly, now; and that isn't in a good neighborhood. People with chronic diseases / illnesses MUST be able to eat as healthy as possible, so a minimum of $200.00 EBT Foods/SNAP for 1 person, monthly should be provided to him/her. Full medical, health and dental coverage should be provided (especially with dental...need crowning, fillings, tooth repair, cosmetic repairs, whitening, root canals, etc) because poor dental care can contribute to and cause serious life threatening health issues and last, but not least. Medication coverage. We shouldn't have to pay more than $2.00 for medications because individuals who has chronic diseases / illnesses can be prescribe a host of medications including infusions, chemo and more. It isn't a lot when our USA government spends more than $10 millions annually to "experiment" how humans can reside on Mars and in space.

Currently, over $20 billion USD are being spent on foreign affairs matters from economics, grants, defense aid, health aid, education, job training and more. Yet, those of us battling dangerous and deadly chronic diseases and illnesses would only receive between $700.00-$1,200.00 monthly depending upon the state patient resides in. Most "housing" locations are in bad communities and neighborhoods. Plus, if a disability recipient is able to work 5-20 hours a week to offset their mandatory living expenses since the cost of living is very expensive now. The U.S.A. government will reduce its funding to them.

The USA government spends over $30,000.00 annually for each person in federal prison and state governments spends over $25,000.00 annually per inmate. However, legal USA citizens who has chronic diseases and illnesses causing them disabilities both physical and mental limitations are give such a hard time, and often denied disability, medicare, medicaid, SSI and/or SNAP/EBT.

Since the USA uses more manpower towards war, foreign affairs and weapons. They will use that as an excuse to not being able to assign a group to individualize disability, full & proper healthcare and true safe housing (eco-friendly) to those who need it. People battling chronic illnesses / diseases shouldn't be forced to accept any type of "housing". Sick people shouldn't be placed in a community / neighborhood where they have to try to run from criminals. These property developers and management companies, builders and the alike should be required to provide 35% subsidized residency for individuals with disabilities and extra discount on top of it to senior citizens with disabilities within the communities they build homes, lofts, highrises, condos, homes, townhouses and the alike if they want to build them in communities. This should be a nationwide mandate.
