For over a decade, a man in Belton, Missouri has been destroying and killing federally protected animals.  Unfortunately, the US Department of Conservation and US Fish and Wildlife Service have not held him accountable for his actions.

Federally protected birds, such as geese and heron, have been subjected to killing or attempted killings.  US. Fish and Wildlife have issued and continue to maintain a permit for the destruction of eggs and nests, yet when the permit is abused, have not revoked it.  

There is a video of this man shooting a mother goose in the head while she protected her nest.  After she was shot multiple times, her body was thrown into a trashbag, while she was still alive.  Her eggs were then tossed into the lake area. Charges were ultimately dropped.  

This problem has only gotten worse, with US Department of Conservation and US Fish and Wildlife ignoring the problem or only continually telling this man to stop.  

If charges were brought and/or fines incurred, a clear message would be sent.  There are clear violations of the law with photographic evidence.  It is frustrating when those who wear a conservation uniform and are sworn to uphold the law, fail to do so.  

We are asking everyone to sign this petition to get the attention of US Fish and Wildlife and the US Department of Conservation to take action against the killing and torture of these federally protected animals.
