End the Importing of Cyanide-Caught Fish in America
This petition had 356 supporters
Cyanide Fishing is the act of pouring cyanide into a fish populated area to stun the fish and sell them as aquarium fish/pets. Not only is this illegal, it also has negative effects on the coral reefs where the cyanide is sprayed. Because of this cyanide spraying, more and more coral reefs are dying, eventually giving way to coral-free ecosystem, which is not beneficial. Even though the fish that are caught are sold as aquarium fish/pets, if they are accidentally eaten, it can have negative effects on the body.
