I don't care what party lines you adhere too but YOU HAVE to attend the GOP Meeting this Wednesday, March 22 at 6pm in the Bluffton Town Hall located at 20 Bridge Street. County Council members will be there to field questions and to me at least, I believe they are testing the waters to see just how much opposition there to the Hilton Head National rezoning as well as their ridiculous development plans. Just so you know, the GOP had a similar meeting in Beaufort last week where County Council Chairman Paul Sommerville spoke. Several folks that attended that meeting called me and were very disturbed over Paul's relationship with James Woodrow McGlothlin, the money man for the redevelopment. I wasn't there but was told that Mr. Sommerville and Mr. McGlothlin are good buddies, talk all the time and that worries me to no end. We need to make a massive showing at this event and put our Council Council members feet to the fire so there is no mistaking our feelings regarding this project. Spread the word and be there!
