Petition updateStop The Hilton Head National Project!Hilton Head National Not Giving Up
Save Our Bluffton State of Mind
Mar 14, 2017
Listen folks, I know it has been some time since I gave you an update but that is simply because so much is going on behind closed doors and I am not privy to what is said or done. This I do know. Even with all the opposition the developers still appear to want to go forward with their plan. They have hired an attorney from Charleston that specializes in disputed development issues so Lord knows what he has up his sleeve. Tabor met with the Coastal Conservation League and hopefully they will add their expertise toward solving some of the environmental issues. Also, the Moss Creek POA has come out against the development but to really get more bang for the buck, property owners there REALLY need to sign the petition and add their comments. Right now we are around 200 signatures shy of 2,500 so if every resident in Moss Creek would take a moment to sign the petition that 2,500 might easily jump to 5,000. Numbers matter! Also, if you live in any one of the local communities, push your POA to send out a letter to property owners to look at the petition and if they agree that this development is BAD for the Bluffton area, sign it! Half of the County Council members live north of the Broad River and know very little about what is around here. All I can say is 5,000, 8,000 or even 10,000 signatures carry a lot more weight than the current number of signatures. Lastly, it is now confirmed that storm water runoff from the development will go into both the May River and MacKay Creek. We had better ALL get on the ball because this much is true, the HH National Developers are going full speed ahead. Get involved or else.
