Most films do not come with trigger warnings such as sexual assault, domestic abuse, hate crime etc which many individuals find triggering. 

Having these trigger warnings at the beginning of films gives individuals the heads up that particular scenes and incidents occur and allows them the opportunity to decide whether they are able to continue watching or if they should turn off to avoid being triggered. 

A triggering incident can set an individuals mental health back and place them in a very uncomfortable and scary place.
