Mattakeeset Tribal Custodianship of Camp Titicut Reserve

Mattakeeset Tribal Custodianship of Camp Titicut Reserve
The Issue
Camp Titicut Reserve on Beech Street of Bridgewater, MA is an inherent sovereign territory with reserved tribal jurisdiction of The Mattakeeset Massachuset Indian Tribe, according to the Original Indian Deed reserved in 1664 by Sachem Josias Wampatuck of Mattakeeset in the Plymouth Colony General Court, and grandfathered into the Commonwealth State of Massachusetts' with several other supporting court documents. This territory has been unlawfully occupied and it’s inhabitants forcibly displaced by acts of genocide leading to regional instability of Mattakeeset families.
We, the people of the town of Bridgewater and other surrounding towns acknowledge that we reside within the jurisdiction of the Mattakeeset Tribe and that the Titicut Reserve is the traditional territory of the Mattakeeset Massachuset People, and has long served as a territory of meaning and significance to the Mattakeeset Tribe. We recognize the continued presence of the Mattakeeset, and acknowledge and support the Mattakeeset Tribe's original covenant.
