It's precisely 2 weeks since PDN first informed the public of Penarth that PACL were to close our much loved cinema. Our cinema is unique in the UK as I believe that it's the only one located on a pier. As we know it's a stunning location. Since the news of the closure broke, shock has now turned to anger with many legitimate questions being asked of PACL's management of the Pavilion. Calls are growing daily for some open dialogue and transparency over some of the fundamental issues of concern that are emerging and work is continuing in the background to get a positive resolution. This is the first week of the cinema's closure. Is it right that a state of the art digital cinema and funded by a grant with public support is now mothballed? Surely if PACL can't or won't operate our cinema then someone else will do so? There are approaching 1500 names on this petition now - all eager to continue enjoying and supporting the Pavilion Cinema
