Well, this week our lovely cinema on the Pier is sadly in darkness with closure in operation. Along with that the reduced opening hours for the Pavilion are now in effect meaning that it's now closed Monday - Wednesday inclusive. But as reported by the Penarth Daily News today ( https://penarthnews.wordpress.com/2017/03/06/day-one-of-closed-doors-at-penarth-pier-pavilion/), and with no notices on display at the Pavilion giving the new opening times, visitors to the Esplanade this morning were left puzzled why the could not get into the foyer, exhibition and cafe ( Picture - Penarth Daily News) The campaign is gaining momentum ( there are now 1381 names on the petition) and pledges of practical support coming in. There is a real determination in Penarth to ensure this jewel in the Crown is not lost - we love it, we use it and we want to continue to do so
